Course Description

The focus of this interactive course is the engagement regarding the practice of landscape artmaking. How do we view it, understand it, and then visually translate it? This course will show that almost every choice artist makes speaks loudly about the subject matter, and often the artist themself. The course will include both historic visual examples in order to understand the process, as well as demos. Together we will create our own landscape art. I will share with you some tools for creating engaging landscape art of your own, as well as various approaches and mediums.

This course meets online over Zoom. Class recordings will be available.
