Course Description

For this 3-part hybrid workshop we will return by popular demand to Fishermen’s Terminal - one of Seattle’s most photo-op-filled locations - in a different season for different ships, different light, different weather. The emphasis will be on designing your images to make the very most of all those photo ops. We will Zoom one session on the principles of composition, then go practice in person out on the piers among all the working boats, then Zoom a feedback session, sharing selects of our results.

All you need is a smart phone (we will be sure to explore their unique ability and power to create fabulous photographs) or a regular camera, digital or film - and a passion for making photographs! We go rain or shine, because often the best images are made in bad weather.

The first and third class meets online over Zoom. Class recordings will be available.
