Course Description

This year, we will continue our geotour of the National Parks by visiting eight beautiful parks that we did not get a chance to visit in the previous OLLI-UW course, National Parks 1. After seeing Rainier and Olympic, we will swing to the Southwest to spend some time at Great Basin, Saguaro, Bryce Canyon, and Zion. We will finish the tour by heading to the Midwest to visit Isle Royale in Michigan, and to New England to see Acadia in Maine. These parks have stunning scenery to enjoy and rich geologic stories for us to interpret! Join us as we take a virtual field trip to unravel the mysteries of eight additional national parks in the Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, and on the East Coast.
