Course Description

Music can boost mood, sharpen attention, and strengthen social connection across the lifespan. In this online session, UW doctoral student and musician Sarah McKiddy translates current research into everyday practices for promoting health and wellness. We'll explore how listening to and making music supports memory and well-being; what makes a playlist "brain-healthy"; and simple ways to use music for focus, stress relief, and intergenerational connections. No musical background required.

This Zoom lecture is available to OLLI-UW members only.
